I found some real goodies over at my local thrift store. At just $2 each, I got to take home real, 1960's, records that actually still work. They make for great room decorations otherwise!

Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite Disney movie. I love the craziness, the colors, the dream world. And this record cover '69 says it all.

I love the Sound of Music. Having memorized every word from the CD as a child, I just had to buy the record version. It was awesome to play this one, because I still remembered most of the words and even the order of the songs.

American Pie is a classic, classic song. I could listen to it all day. I had to buy it, to hear all the other wonders Don McLean can come up with.

After a very difficult and exhausting year full of many emergencies and unexpected troubles, I'm SO SO happy to welcome in a fresh start. I've been waiting for 2012 for almost a whole year now! Suckers, for all those who thought the world would end. I never once believed it-that would be waay to random, right? Anyways, enjoy this amazing video from Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Levit where they sing together! OMG, its like 500 Days of Summer all over again(seriously, one of my favorite movies ever). Sorry for the blog rejection lately!But not to worry, I am free of my busy schedule for a good amount of time now so prepare for DIYs, pictures, and more. Since I haven't shared some tunes in a while, I decided to share the intricate artist, Mika. He is a very cool guy! This song has been repeated in my car very very often so its definetly a favorite. His singing style is very unique kind of happy, quirky, pop. Super catchy! So below are two of my favorites (the second one is in French!But the video is so awesome and the beats are so insanely addicting that the language barrier doesn't matter:))

Dance Anthem of the 80's. is. a. must. listen. to. song. Its catchy, quirky, upbeat, and sung wonderfully by the queen herself, Regina Spektor. What more can you want from a song?Nothing. So go listen, and you will fall in love.

For a while now, my new favorite color has turned to maroon. I think it compliments my hair and skin tone, and I love the rich violet-y redness of a wine colored lipstick or sweater. It feels elegant but at the same time kind of edgy too. Rich red is just amazing. And I can't forget one of my favorite bands, Maroon 5 of course.
