Trompe L’Oeil. How I love French, it just sounds much prettier than “trick of the eye”. She showed us who first used this illusionary technique in the Camera degli Sposi by Andrea Mantegna from the Renaissance. I found it so hard to believe that the ceiling was flat!

She paired it with a contemporary equivalent to Mantegna, which I’m sure everyone has seen these amazing sidewalk art displays. I also found this cool car one. Yup, all these pictures are 2D!

Okay all that kinda made me feel like an art nerd, but still i just love it!
